Although I do not have a 3d printer I know someone that does. I would take a copy of the file and see if they could print a couple.

My computer was lost for a month at the bottom of the St. Lawrence river. Strap was less than a year old. I had replaced it.
Here is my solution to the Galileo strap issue. I 3d printed replacement pieces that work with double velcro straps. I don't like the bungee idea as it is too loose when diving wet and too tight to fit over drysuit cuffs. This used the Scubapro hinge pins and is a direct replacement. Contact me for the file if you want to print it.

Thanks! Did you print yours in ABS or PLA? How many dives has it been on and how has it held up?

He said he used PETG and thinks ABS would be ok. Doesn't like PLA.

I was going to take this to the Tampa Hackerspace (where I am a member) to print. However, I found 3dhubs.com. They'll print the bungee mount and mail it to me for a grand total of $1.06 for two pieces. I'd spend more in gas getting to the hackerspace!

I'm going to go with ABS. I was reading about PTEG on a filament manufacturer's page and it sounds like the stuff is highly susceptible to UV damage. Also, I'd either have to buy a spool of filament or pay someone around $25 a part to print it in PTEG.

I used 100% fill and ran a #44 drill through the pin hole to clean it up. I don't think it will see enough UV to matter. I can always print another, or one in ABS if it fails. I am putting a lanyard on it too. Losing it once was enough.

Found it local for pretty cheap. It has a $4 setup fee so I went ahead and ordered 20 of the bungee mounts in ABS (PETG was 4x the price).
