I would recommend Cozumel for you next dive site, but you might be disappointed with other places afterwards. I recommend it because you are not committed for a week like you are going to/from Bonaire (flights only on the weekends). The drift dives are great, as are the night dives. Friendly folks there, too. You can read about the recommended dive shops in other threads, but if you go with one of the top four or five recommendations, you will be happy. Oh! It's also cheap to stay and eat there. I'm going back in a couple of weeks and can't wait to get in the water.

1. Where you got certified.
2. Diving where you live.
3. Any clown in a rainbow hat can dive Cozumel....

You could go to Cozumel and if you are enjoying the conditions too much just rub up against some fire coral.

Does that mean you think it sucks? I don't remember the OP saying he wanted ice cave diving with zero viz.

I was just trying to point out that..................any clown in a rainbow hat can dive Cozumel.

Are you recommending against it?

I'm recommending he dive where he is, with people he knows, in conditions he understands, so he will dive much more and learn much more than he would just flitting off to Cozumel in a rainbow hat....okay, he might learn some savvy hat-lore that he probably wouldn't get up North.

If I lived that close to the Saint Lawrence Seaway, I would rather go there frequently than sit on an airplane for a ridiculous amount of time.

And, would that apply to Bonaire, too?

Color me a clown... with a hat. I can dive some local lakes, or take a super annoying two plus hour flight to COZ and have real enjoyment. Boy! I am a clown, and I wear it well.
