I’m really curious how much diving the kids are doing but it’s hard to glean that info, so if anyone comes across it, please post!

What I don’t understand about the coverage, every quote, every article talks about the navy seals and rescue divers using “oxygen tanks” to reach them.
FWIW, there was a big story on the rescue of the first four boys in the LA Times this morning and they again referred to the "oxygen" tanks. But since the story was by-lined, I sent an e-mail to the reporter explaining the issue and just got a note back from said reporter that they will change it in their coverage. We shall see . . .

So glad to see the first of the kids are out. Least hope they get 4 more out successfully tomorrow.

Very glad 4 are out! Kudos to all involved!:):thumb:

The media challenge is some are O2 and some aren't..., an some military telling them do not know.
O2:
-- Big or small tanks to crack in cave for O2 level (likely, or maybe some high Nitrox) (green, white top)
-- In rebreather: O2, (some of the really small things on back or side)
-- Breathing directly on land out of cave: (small thing on ground) (green, white top)
??
-- Breathing directly on land in cave: Air, Nitrox, O2, ...
Air:
-- Breathing directly underwater (shiny big silver tank on back or side)
-- Other of the really small things on back or side

And how do they report firefighters tanks? As oxygen tanks??

@JohnnyC - Dr Richard Harris is the person I'd want calling the shots should I ever find myself stuck anywhere. Sounds like a very humble, disciplined and methodical person which is exactly what's needed here - not pissing contests.

OZTek - diving information & inspiration - Richard Harris

So glad all involved are doing well - AFAIK the stronger boys were the ones bought out first

CNN today changed their graphics earlier today from oxygen tank to compressed air tank.

Good job Ken!

We shall see indeed if they correct.

AND I’M SO HAPPILY SURPRISED TO SEE THE RECOVERY UNDERWAY SO EARLY AND SO SUCCESSFULLY IN THIS MANNER!
