Many (many) years ago, I decided to bring a bottle of horchata syrup back to the states for my younger brother. I wrapped the liter glass bottle in a bunch of clothing and put it in the middle of the hard-sided American Tourister suitcase. When I got to US customs, I was tapped for inspection. I put the suitcase up on the counter and the customs officer opened the lid. White, stringy, goopy syrup had saturated the entire contents of the suitcase. Everything was stuck together. The inspector looked at the mess for a minute as he held open the suitcase lid, then laughed, closed it, and snapped the latches shut. That was the last time I tried that.

I'm planning on cutting the page down the middle with a pair of scissors before I leave. Is this OK?

That's what I did. I can let you know tomorrow if it works. I arrive at about 3:00 pm tomorrow, lol. Cant wait.

Never heard of that. What is it?
Anisette and honey, and the honey is from bees that get their nectar from the xtabentun flower. If you like black jelly beans you'll love it. There are a couple of different brands, but IMO D'aristi is the best one. It's got a Mayan priest and king on the label.

The family that runs El Moro has their own brand of Xtabentun, though, which is very good as well. Every time I eat there they bring me a shot of it after the meal.

Sounds a little like Black Sambuca, possibly a little sweeter. Where do you buy the D'aristi? I know someone for whom it would make a great gift. Thanks.

I went into Montreal last night and see that paper forms in Canada are also (like the USA) a thing of the past and it was all electronic kiosks. I suspect that every where will be all electronic forms in a few years.

You sure do travel lots - I'm jealous :)

^^^ What she said. Sometimes I'll use Patron Orange Liquer to partially offset the high cost of Cointreau.

This is still within the subject of immigration forms right?

To keep it on subject, my plane had the forms so it was a non issue. I did learn this evening that stores dont sell beer after 6 on Sundays.

OK - you can't just throw that out there and NOT SHARE!!!
Did you notice the word "secret"? IF I make any down south, which I doubt, I will share. :)

Cheers -
