The third case is when my dive buddy was prepping for the trip to TrukLagoon, he wanted to add an SPG to the first along with the transmitter, same leak, he contacted me about servicing it, I told him the remove the SPG and test it, he did so and it was fine, put SPG back on, leak, off no leak. Lost confidence with 180ft dives and penetration dives coming, he used my MK 17/G250.

That makes no sense at all, any chance I could get that regulator back so I can figure out how that can happen? I may need to borrow the a HP hose and the spg

You have both of the regs from me, it wasn’t just a pop, which they did and when they didn’t pop I got nothing through them for a little while, there was a high pressure blow from below the yoke around the retainer. It was weird and intermittent, I make no claim of what caused it only that it did happen and I, for me, no longer had/have confidence in them, others do. I never received any report of your findings nor do I claim to be entitled to one. They are beautifully finished and when working they were great but since I have to many regulators I don’t see any reason for me to use one that has acted weird.

Fair enough

@lexvil so you had issues with HP leaking from the reg, as opposed to the HP seat sealing shut internally and cutting off air to the LP ports? (I had interpreted your post as the latter)

there was no HP seat issue. I am 100% certain of that

Well, I have to admit I interpreted it almost the same. Almost, in that I understood Lex experienced both issues but not necessarily at the same time.

1) A high pressure leak somewhere around the yoke/DIN to body interface.

2) Total loss of intermediate pressure, which is what is most concerning to me.

I have never seen #2..ever

It was a slow climb on the IP gauge, it’s been a while but I shut it down fairly quickly due to the HP leak.

Slow rise to IP set while high pressure leak blowing along with the slow rise on the SPG.

OK, I stand corrected. I thought there was 2 separate issues. A high pressure leak can certainly cause the IP to be low.

In light of the recent clarification, I've asked the powers that be for a title change.
