Imorin off topic but have to ask - are the prints over the bed Gyotaku? (Japanese fish printing, originally used to record and commemorate a fisherman’s catch, literally made by inking a fish & pressing into/on paper.) Your condo is lovely. My buddy was asking about VRBO/HomeAway options on Bonaire last night and this morning I come across this thread. I've marked your property for future options. Thank you!
Thanks for your comments and perception. Yes, they are Gyotaku prints by Fred Fisher. His website is HERE.

I should also add that we rented our unit using VRBO for a number of years, but they changed their business plan that such that costs went up both for us and our renters in what we regarded as an exorbitant extent. The website, HomeEscape.com is relatively new and uses the same procedures that VRBO originally used. As you can see, we now rent through them (and through Sand Dollar, of course).

Hamlet Oasis is not waterfront,

Exactly what do you consider waterfront? I can walk from my door, past the dive shop, down some short steps and into the water. You would have to be on a pier to be more waterfront. I've yet to see any of the resorts whose units are closer to the water.

Coral Paradise right next to Capt Dons if just two. Full kitchen, grilling area outside. Only 6 units. Very private and quiet. Walk over to Capt Dons for diving. Great folks. Great dive set up.

What is directly to the west of Hamlet Oasis? Between it and the water blocking the view?

other villas right? IDK the area that well.

Some of the houses I mentioned - the back of the property is on the water - not a short walk down steps past the dive shop. Some of the Belnem rentals have stairs into the water just past their patio - the yards are actually shorter than usual.
A couple have a tiny beach.

ie - if you walk out the patio door, past the private pool and walk 20 more feet you fall in the ocean.

We stay at Belmar. From my patio I skirted the pool, walked down about 8 steps and was on the dive dock. I don't think the shore entry at Dive Friedns/Cliff is that easy - all those rocks. Better dive though.

That's how I define waterfront - actually being on the water. Isn't Hamlet across a minor street also?

I see quite a few options mentioned have Dive friends bonaire as their on-site or nearby dive shop.
I read a post awhile back on hear stating some people had issues with them allowing solo shore diving. I dive with friends, but sometimes like to take a solo shore dive on the house reef. Has anyone had any resistance with them as far as allowing shore dives?

My experience with Dive Friends is no issues with a solo card (they offer the class). They also have pony rigs available for rent (they ask for a solo card when renting). Without a solo card it's "don't ask, don't tell." They have never questioned me other than asking for the solo card when renting the pony rig. There is no scuba police, so if you pick up your tanks at one of their many locations (very handy) and head out to your favorite sites, you shouldn't have an issue. These are my personal experiences. YMMV.

Gotta be Virbo? What about AirBnb... I got a good AirBnb one...
Not at all. I just always called them all “vrbo” since that’s the outfit ive used mostly in the past.

Private snorkelers' studio at beach - Houses for Rent in Kralendijk, Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands

So... this rental offers beach access via a private walkway down to Andrea 1 or Andrea 2. You do have to cross the street, then walk a few hundred feet (and go down some stairs)... but it was do-able for my wife and I. The walkway drops you right between both sites (don't dive between them... the shore entry is to tough). If I recall we did three dives total there in total, doing nice early morning dives... I would go back there without issue...
