I did not go but they had a great time. As I said, you need to go via Darwin.
Thanks. I misunderstood and was asking because I'd be based in Singapore.

Why is that? There appears to be a daily flight to Bali.I did not go but they had a great time. As I said, you need to go via Darwin.

Very impressive shots for a first time underwater camera man.
Which liveaboard took you over please?
Could someone please let us all know what constitutes “expensive” diving in a remote part of the world that offers a high quality of environmental health and species diversity?
I compare all land based diving against liveaboard prices for diving the same area. I have yet to find land based accommodations in Indonesia with diving, decent food and AC, not counting Wakatobi, to be anywhere near $400+ per day, which is what I personally consider expensive. Thank god fosil fuel prices don’t seem to be going up unless the utopians get their way in the major western economies, with air travel severely curtailed. If they do, heaven help dive tourism.
It might be beneficial for this and any future discussion if we come to some general agreement on what is “expensive” diving in quality parts of Indonesia, PNG, PI and Malaysia. I know this may be difficult, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying...
Would you like to start? Other than $400/day for LOB, what's your price points for the different locales?
