I've been on 100s of dives with sharks around and none of them were feeding dives. I've been on dives with 100s of sharks and none of them had been fed, nor could they care less whether we were there or not.

WOW strange again, because when you do go on a feeding dive it is not easy to get them to come over to you and it takes a while to entice them in.

Never once have I ever seen any shark, I have seen hundreds, hang around long enough for more than a pass or 2. Even when I am shooting African Pompano in column with hundreds of fish they will vanish until I shoot something only to reappear. So....... not the experience I have ever had, they always swim away, for me. Maybe they don't like me as much.

Even when I went with @caruso they bailed right when we got down there and ran recon just out of sight, just like the captain said they would do.

Well, what can I tell ya IncreasemyT? Maybe you still have lots to learn and experience.

On one of my more recent shark experiences, there were dozens and dozens swimming back and forth in front of us and on one dive a little duffer came up and parked beside me in the current. We eyeballed each other for a bit. Eventually, his much bigger brother came along and traded places with him. We also eyeballed each other a bit but my smile was not quite as large as it had been.

Whitetip reefshark is nocturnal so when we come to see them during the day light, most of them just stay on the spot and ignore us. Check out my video of them in post #19 page 2. Same with Zebra shark & nurseshark.

They don't really like our bubbles either.

I've had 100s of dives where there were sharks around that I could see.

Only twice in all that time, has a shark approached me.

Of course, there's also the time at Belize where 3 sharks were swimming around right with us. They got quite close from the side but mostly seemed to like sneaking up from behind.

I can confirm that Captain Dustin McCabe stated this before one of our wreck dives in particular. He told us don't drop all the way to the sand or you're going to scare the sharks away, and in fact this is what I was thinking when I posted earlier about all the big stuff taking off when they see divers, plus other experiences on dives when I've seen glmpses of big stuff as it takes off when I first begin a dive.
