Duck tape idea triggers my thoughts in managing my BCD pockets better so I can maximize what I can put in there.

By aligning & duck taping those Fun Pops in a row, as shown below,

I manage to put 10 (750 ml) with DSMB & spool in my right BCD pocket in the following way,

On the left pocket I’m able to fit in 6 of those Fun Pops (450 ml), as shown below.

All of those includes 4 pounds of dive weight in each integrated weight pouch, and 2 pounds of dive weight in each of the back trim pockets (as I need 12 pounds of dive weight when I dive with 3mm wetsuit and AL80 tank in warm water dive sites), shown below.

So all of my safety gears are either in the BCD pockets or attached on the shoulder / chest straps & power inflator.

So, the Light Monkey can I have came from @Wookie after he sold the Spree. Something I noted he did which was very cleaver was he threaded all of the can contents (PLB, Glow stick, whistle and dye marker) through a piece of line. He then took a wire post/terminal butt connector and crimped the loop of line to it. He then screwed the wire post connector to the bottom of the lid. Now all of the can contents are secured to the can lid.

Here’s how I leash the PLB canister, Nautilus MRG & pouch for miscellaneous items (PLB mounting bracket, whistle, etc.) together & clip the leash onto BCD pocket D-ring.

I think the idea is to tether the contents, not just the can. If you surface in less than stellar conditions you don't want a situation where you open the can and all of the contents fall freely. Especially if they are not buoyant.

Similar to how most BC pockets have a loop of line to tether the contents.

Yes, understood. You need to do that because all of your safety items are in that one can.

Mine is different. To be less bulky and to fit them in my BCD pocket, I split them into 3 different section, as shown in my previous post. The PLB canister contains only the PLB1 tethered to its float pouch. The Nautilus MRG float & waterproof to 400’.

I just have to be careful when I open my miscellaneous non critical item pouch. However it only contains whistle, MRG antenna winder, strings and the PLB1 mounting bracket. I can wait to mount the PLB1 on my BCD shoulder strap when things calm down a bit.

I put in the pressure pot today. Took it for a ride to 150 feet for an hour ===>> Not a drop of moisture. Pretty amazing.

If your intention is to provide yourself with fluids while lost at sea, would something from here Personal Desalination & Personal Water Filter | Products not provide a better solution than using a product for something other then it's actual purpose?

I have to admit I am not sure how we got to where we are in this thread with freezy pops being used as survival gear... I will also say no one has the ability to tell anyone what they do or do not need as survival gear. Just ask my gf what we need for a hurricane vs what I say we need. I'm the guy that stocks up on food and water for 24 days as well as redundant systems for making fresh water, cooking transportation and defense...

My thought was no, the liquid is not compressible and the little air would just compress. I would be more concerned about the idiot next to me on the dive boat dropping his tank on the side of my bc...
