Currently have a suunto cobra as my primary. Looking to get a shearwater teric for wrist..however there is some concern I'll be getting different readings and recommended I stick with suunto eon core or something similar..

Any thoughts experience?

Pick one and use it, if it fails then use the there other as a backup, don’t use both at the same time

Suunto computers of that vintage are very conservative especially in repetitive diving and other scenarios specific to these computers. Using both, a Shearwater Terric and a Suunto Cobra, will present a problem to you when one, the Cobra, has much shorter NDL's than the other, the Teric, and you will have to either end the dive or have to do a "required deco stop" when the Teric has plenty of NDL. If you ignore the Cobra and just go by the Teric NDL and exceed the Cobra's NDL and not make deco stops, your Cobra will lockout when you arrive at the surface and it won't go into dive mode for your next dives for 48 hours (as far as I remember) after the last dive. It is very difficult to use a Suunto computer as a backup to a more modern dive computer that uses a less conservative algorithm. If you want to please both computers, then you will need to go by the limits the Cobra gives you and use it as the primary computer and let the Teric be the back up. I don't think that this is a pleasing scenario after you have paid good money for the Teric.

Sticking with sheerwater brand, which console would go hand in hand with the teric?

You can put the Suunto into gauge mode, where it monitors/records your depth and time information but doesn't calculate an NDL plan for you. This way, you can use the Cobra like a bottom timer to back up to the Teric without getting conflicting dive plans.

However, if you do this, you should also [briefly] consult tables for your dives so that you know your NDL constraints and can use this information to end your dive safely if your primary computer fails.

I dive with two computers with different algorithms. The conservative one is the primary and the other(aggressive, libel etc) is the back up.

And what's going to happen to the Teric

are you going to smash it mining for rocks during your dive
or watch it swimming off into the distance when the shark takes your arm

I'm not much for redundancy but if I'm going to take a machine gun the backup will not be a stick

Only real issue is if your more conservative computer will lock you out our start beeping at a ridiculous level to cause issues. This is the only reason I stopped using my old Aladdin Pro. It was not capable of adjusting for Nitrox, and although it doesn’t lock you out, it starts singing like a bird on repetitive Nitrox dives when I was totally safe on the Nitrox 32% profile, but “bent” on the air computer.

Yeah, I tried to carry a Mares Puck in my pocket when I upgraded to a Cochran EMC20H, and I'd lock the Puck out frequently. It was of no use. The Cochran served me well, but multiple gasses became an issue as I progressed. Even as a back-up to the Shearwater, it wasn't really working except as a "lost DECO gas" contingency. A second Shearwater solved that... Now dive a Petrel1 & a Pedrix AI.

Daughter now dives the Mares Puck, and wife dives the Cochran on their recreational profiles.

They don't have multi-gas capability? I used to use Cochran computers many years ago but haven't used one in over 15 years.

I used to have a Suunto as a backup for my Cochran but it just didn't work out at all. The Suunto would go into deco and eventually lock out and turn into a gauge when the Cochran still had plenty of NDL. They are the opposite extremes from each other.
