Drysuit too big ?

Hey all ,

After a long wait I have finally received my first custom Scubaforce drysuit.

As I opened it I noticed it is freakishly tall - taller then me - and to me it seems quite big. (I'm 6FT - 1.85cm)

My biggest issue is what seems to be a lot of excsees material in the calf areas of my legs.

I would appreciate input from who ever owns a drysuit , is it really too big ? Or is it meant to have so much slack because of the compression ?

I think you have my suit.... (I'm 6'7"). While it is a telescopic, and you fold the body, the inseam seems too long. Honestly, every part of it seems "big"...

Does look like it is made for someone whose neckline is where the top of your head is.

Maybe a mix up between centimeters and inches on the measurement form?

Have you tried it on yet? I know mine feels a lot taller than I am when I am hanging it up to dry. Yours does look even taller but the camera angle might be cheating that as well.

TBH, it doesn't look that bad to me. The telescoping torso should make the suit much taller than you when not on you and secured with the crotch strap. While it might be a bit big in the thigh area and maybe in the leg length, at least from your photos, I doesn't look that bad. A lot may also depend on what thickness of undergarment you plan to wear under it.

Why don't you put it on, fold the telescopic torso in, squeeze the air out, and take another picture?

It is hard to judge otherwise.

Did you get a tailor or someone else to measure the required bits?

If that is a 'custom' suit - it wasn't made for you!
I guess that Scubaforce really hasn't learned anything in the last 15 years,
back then they were unable to duplicate Tuesday's suits on Wednesday and your suit is proof that they are still doing it.

Block payment, and return the suit at their expense.
Then buy a MTM SF Tech suit from sftech.ch, which is what you should have done in the first place.

Since I can't afford multiple SF Tech suits, I only buy locally made 'Bespoke' suits direct from the manufacturer, who is happy to measure and then do 2 additional fittings before I get my suits at a very good price.

and at noon today I'll be picking up 2 new Kallweit Zenon Front suits that I have been waiting almost 10 weeks for.

I dont think so because the form seems to come in a S/M/L/XL format but I could be wrong.

The guy who sold it to me at the DC took my measurements

I will be definitely speaking to the local DC who sold it to me, I just wanted to get some opinions first as this is my first drysuit.

It's too big as you know.
