hehehe... not ignorance at all.

hog is short for "hogarthian" an equipment configuration/style of diving
that emphasizes simplicity and utilitarianism, named after William Hogarth
Main.

the hogarthian style is the basis for most overhead (cave) diving systems, as
well as the DIR (Doing it Right) system.
