help!

greetings everyone, I'm a longtime diver but I"m new to scubaboard and new to underwater photography.I recently acquired a nikon D-70 w/ a aquatica housing and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for editing software as well as where to get enlargments in the u.s.

I use photoshop CS-3, It is great. Don't know about the enlargements.

you can also use photoshop elements or adobe lightroom which are both cheaper than photoshop cs. As far as enlargements, if you are shooting with the d-70 in raw mode you will be able to get pretty much any size print you need from http://www.mpix.com just make sure you save the image as a jpg.

The gimp is a full feature editor as well. And free
though a bit less user friendly than other options

Stick with Photoshop as there are a lot of people that can help you with it.

For enlargments we have used Pictopia Collections

If you plan to put out truly professional quality shots and prints I'd get Photoshop; I've had the various versions for about 14 years now and it pretty much sets the standard.

If you want to print large high quality prints you might check out Millers Professional Imaging. When I opened an account with them you had to be a professional photographer to open an account. Once you did it was a real shocker as to the cost of prints. I could get touched up very high quality 11x14 prints for about 10 bucks - that a studio would turn around and sell you for several hundred dollars. The mark up in prints is astronomical.
