Man dies after diving exercises in Wisconsin lake where another diver died 8 days earlier

TOWN OF BROCKWAY, Wisconsin — Authorities say a 59-year-old man has died after taking part in scuba diving exercises at a Wisconsin lake where another diver died eight days earlier.
The Jackson County sheriff's office says Kerry Jurica of Weston was participating in exercises Sunday afternoon at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in the Town of Brockway. The sheriff's office says another diver noticed Jurica was having problems with equipment and was unresponsive, and the other diver rescued Jurica.
According to the sheriff's office, Jurica died at a local medical facility. The Leader-Telegram (Another diver dies at Lake Wazee - Eau Claire Leader-Telegram ) reports no foul play is suspected.
A woman identified as 54-year-old Wendy Fassbender of Lodi died after diving at Wazee Lake on June 27.

Sorry to hear this. Condolences to families and those involved. I dive here a lot but not much this year. The lake is an old pit mine that is 355 ft deep so many people practice technical diving here but I have no knowledge of any specifics. Too many losses in the last few years. If anyone has any specifics as to what happened please private message me.
