Interesting that there is mention of the Royal Thai Navy but no mention of Thai SAR. Does anyone know whether Thailand has SAR, or if SAR at sea falls to the Royal Thai Navy?

This reminds me of the importance of keeping your most valuable possessions in a waterproof escape bag, including passport or copy - along with having your life vest handy and a clear route to your abandon boat station. Get home alive, then file the trip insurance claims.
