Scubapro MK 10 Pistons for Sale?

Hey all, Been a long time since I posted here. Happy to see this still going. My previous employer took advantage of the fact that I had some pistons to use in customer regulators and never paid me back. I need a couple pistons for my regulator. Anyone selling any?

Mantis 2 Band Removal and Replacement

I purchased a Mantis 2 last year, along with a nylon band. My intent was to remove the original rubber band and replace it with the nylon band. I quickly found out that this is not just a simple remove the pins procedure. I am also told that there are special tools involved and the instructions...

    Scubapro Mantis 2 Watchband

Good afternoon all, When I purchased my Mantis 2, I also purchased the nylon wristband with the intention of replacing the original rubber band. It however, is a bit more involved than just driving pins out. I am told that it requires special tools, which I am not familiar with. Does...

    yoke to din conversion

All you need is the conversion kit. It is a matter of removing the yoke nut/screw and replacing it with the DIN Screw and handwheel. Good luck.

Best mobile apps (currently) to Log dives ?

I personally use both Diving Log on my PC and Dive Log on my IPhone. It is easy to use and synchronizes through DropBox. It supports a variety of computers. I have a Scubapro Mantis 2. I have not attempted to use it with my Suunto D9 yet, where I have a few of my dives logged.

    which el-cheapo ultrasonic cleaner?

I personally purchased an ultrasonic cleaner from Sharpertek. I have had it for 7 plus years, without one issue. It is twice the price of the 70W, 1400 ml, but if you were to purchase it, you wouldn't be replacing it and spending three to four times as much over the long run.

    Mk10 IP creeps after serviced

my advice is to not use sandpaper on a piston knife edge as it is too coarse. If you are going to polish it to remove a small nick or imperfection, use crocus cloth.

    Removing Orifice/Crown Aqualung Legend

You may also want to put the body on a piece of old neoprene just to protect the crown when it comes out. It only takes one little nick for the crown to be toast.

    Beginning regulator service

I do alot of servicing in my garage and have many of those tools. One thing that you want to invest in as a beginner is a good Jeweler's Loupe. The good folks at Bausch and Lomb make some quality units. You would be surprised what will get past the fingernail method when you looking at a piston...

    Tool list for reg service

I have just about every tool that Scuba Tools has to offer with the exception of the basic hand tools, which I have collected over the years being a mechanic. It really depends on how easy you want the disassembly/reassembly process to be. If you are going to tune you will need some type of...

    RFC: second stage seats substitutes

I have used the homemade LP seats based on the information made available by awap in all of the Sherwoods that I have acquired through E-bay. They work without a hitch. Of course you could probably use chewed bubble gum in a Sherwood and achieve the same result :D

    Scubapro D 350 Advice

I have run into that issue myself and finally had to rely on new parts from a different regulator in the D-Series. Fortunately, I was able to piece it back together and it was just as functional as it was before it was serviced. On another note, good to be back lurking in the board...

    SeaCure Custom Mouthpieces?

I bought one $32. It was a waste of money. Too hard and hard to seal on the regulator. Do yourself a favor and buy something else that is comfortable

    Doing your own reg service

The Sherwood line-up is also easy to service and parts are cheap. I do not think that the parts are readily available to the do it yourselfer though.

    Coltri Compressors

Karie, I have a Coltri MCH 6 that I bought from NUVAIR here in Oxnard about a year ago and have had no problems with it whatsoever. They also built me a custom regulator test bench control station that powers my regulator repair shop in my garage. It is a sweet set-up and only set me back...
