Anyone hear anything more about this? My father worked with her and sent me the news article from the local paper. He doesn't know anything about diving, but only related to me he heard "her suit was filled with water." Not sure if she had dry vs. wet suit and heard no other details.
I'm sure there's necessary information, all of the stuff with Desmond on the island has got be important. Just not a great overall episode, especially compared with classics like "Do No Harm" or "Through the Looking Glass".
I used several hangers twistied together at first, just due to the weight...and we have plastic hangers. I ended up ordering BCD and accessory hangers b/c they are pretty cheap (<$20) and made of sturdier, thicker plastic. I also used some creative routing for my reg setup to hang it on a...
Just wanted to bump this thread up. I'm going to be in San Juan 5/1 & 5/2 for a meeting. Looking to get a dive or two in. Is aquaadventures pretty much it as far as diving in San Juan?
I think $0 (i.e. don't tip) is a valid response to the OP's question of "how much?" and the subsequent tip v. don't tip is pertinent discussion immediately pertaining to "how much?". I agree with TM, I never tipped my kindergarten, elementary, high school, or college professors. I didn't tip...
Jack, enjoyed reading your review/experiences with F200 and BE lens. I bought this camera last summer as an intro unit to u/w photography for me. Looked to be a high quality camera for the money and I have been happy so far. I was not ready to invest in a different unit and housing that were...
Would it not depend on the blood:tissue solubility coefficient for each specific tissue? That is a lower solubility would take longer to equilibrate and vice versa.
I started with a jacket style BC because that's what my instructor used and sold. Never really loved it, always felt the fit was off and felt crushed by it at times when lots of air in the bladder. Switched to a bp/w setup last year and really like it. The fit is always custom, so you can't...
I've got an Oceanic computer, so use their software for downloading dives. You don't have to have a computer to use it, though, and it has some nice features.
I particularly like that you can add pictures from the dive to the log. I am still keeping a pen and paper log as well. Use a...
My wife doesn't dive and has no interest in diving. She is supportive of my diving though, and even made me go diving an additional day on our last vacation together. She especially likes my vacation dives because that means an extra day at the spa for her. Extra diving stateside doesn't help...
Thanks everyone for the pointers! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new drysuit with p valve, so all of this has been very helpful. Question: When talking about trimming, it sounds to me like you're talking about the shortening the part where the quick release attaches, is that correct?
The wreck is at 90 ft. And you can penetrate if you have, enough air in your tank. The DM takes you through the wreck. I was not worried about the penetration at all, but decide based on your comfort level. It is just a quick run through the main corridor.
If you decide to go with them...
Oceanlog isn't the greatest, that's for sure. Sounds like you're getting it though. Lots of tabs to maneuver through, and you have to right click and then "Add" to get something in that particular field. After you add then select it.
Save often! I've had some problems with it. And I've...
I stayed there in August and dove with the Aquaworld group that is there in the hotel. I contemplated going to Playa or taking the trip to Cozumel, but my wife is not a diver and the trips leaving from the hotel were more convenient in terms of scheduling. I did the 2 tank wreck dive. First...
I've got the F200. Posted some pics from Cancun just a week or so ago. You can check them out and see what you think. My first time doing u/w photos, so if they suck, that may not be a reflection of the camera, but of the operator!
