Did my first test dives in the local quarry with my new Perdex AI last weeknd. Also a bit annoyed with the warning obscuring the tank pressure. You know just when you really want to pay attention to it.
I have the 17mm nut on my transmitter too.
Found this critter on a mid-morning dive off St. Lucia on the reef at about 40 ft, It's about 1 or 2 inches and scurried off into a crevice before I could switch from video to photo.
Sometime between when I logged dives in April and logged a few more a couple days ago my Cobalt 1711-2753 running V.1.41/1 decided to add a month to the time and also about 60 (random as far as I could tell at a glance) of my 273 logged dives. The added month goes back to some dives in 2011...
Lost a similar amount. I have gone from a 2/3 jumpsuit to a 3.5. I find myself adding a vest and hood after a couple of dives quite often. Also got a nice jump in SAC.

I use a sola photo as focus light on the camera. Also typically have a smaller light on the back on my hand in a goodman glove. Not sure I'll continue that since my new strobe has a focus light built in.

Kind of big for that. Just perusing Winter 2014 AlertDiver today I was struck by the similarity to pg 97 Xenia.
Doesn't belong in the Caribbean however there are reports of some species invading off Venezuela.
A friend of mine suggested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goniopora. Not native either.
Well that really narrows it down right? Again around Mayaguana, Bahamas. Taken about 9 AM at 55 ft. My best estimate is the the "polyps" would be around 1 inch long.
Thanks TC, I had actually considered creolefish but I was looking for "bright red spot at bottom of pectoral fin". I guess I was fooled by color at depth (35 ft) and distance from my flash, certainly the shape and markings fit.
When I started diving ~6 years ago I was an obese 30 yr smoker at age 54. My subsequent obsession with diving gave me the kick to change. Now have both my daughters diving with me, smoke free 4 yrs and better shape than when I worked construction in my 20s. Looking forward to a long healthy...
Diving the West end in January I found Kortape Point and Lagun to be in good shape (certainly compared to Mushroom Forest). Overall Curaçao ranks pretty well in bang for buck IMHO.

I'm in the same boat as you norinori figuring out how to best use my new strobe with the rx100m2. My impression of how it factors in the strobe is that it measures how much light is hitting the sensor. When the bucket is full it turns off the flash. So it doesn't really matter if the light is...
Got this at Wal-Mart a year or so ago. Might be bit small for DSLR but fits my Sony RX100 very nicely, fits in my suitcase well and provides a bit of extra protection when I elect to put something on the more fragile side in my checked bag.
