4.0 firmware now allows transmitter and wristmount to be stored together?

Quick answer: Yes you can put it together, because the new transmitter generation shuts down if it has no pressure. So you also have to pair it while it is mounted at the tank.

    Mares icon HD, firmware 4.0

Got it a little bit earlier than it was official released, and it was in May:blinking:. But here some other new features: 1. You can set timezone and 2. (thats great:d ): you can use Icon HD Net Ready as Alarm Clock, while sleeping in your hammock on safari boat. But beep is not very loud, so I...

    Mares icon HD, firmware 4.0

I dove the Icon Net Ready Firmware V4.0 on 29th of June. It works perfect. Pairing (under pressure) at the first try. Display under water is always with tank view, it is not possible to switch to the "old" numeric display. The best of firmware are the additional info you can get while diving...

    Cleaning contacts on Icon HD

There is no official hint by mares. I always use a toothpick with a little bit rounded top by scratching a rough surface to avoid damage of the contacts. Drilling it in the little holes it works well :-). I guess they can't replace the contacts without replacing the complete backpart of...

Mares Icon HD future SW suggestions

OK, let' have a look to the future! GPS device are getting smaller and often digital Camera has one. So it might be a be a realizable idee to integrate a GPS device in the transmitter to get the coords of your dive :cool2:. Would be the xxx-next generation of transmitter. To avoid battery drain...

New Transmitter firmware released for Icon Net Ready

Yes, got it back. Takes about 2 weeks, but depends a little on the reseller, who didn't send it immediatly to Mares. Mares told me they get it on monday and send back on thursday. But I didn't yet test the transmitter, because my regulator blows and it goes to service.

Mares Icon HD Net Ready Reviews and Dive Experiences

Mares announced to start upgrading the transmitter software! But it is just possible to be made by the resellers. Think they need to plugon the transmitters to a special interface to upgrade. So we need to visit our Mares Shop. Ask for exchange of battery. May be they do. Because my NetReady got...

    Android logbook software DiveMate

I asked MARES whether they will bring DiversDiary or DiveOrganizer as an Android App but they denied and told me to try an Android app called DiveMate, because they support the developer to integrate MARES dive computers. I tested and it works great. Still there is no support to import directly...

    Mares Icon Battery Upgrade

You can easy open the compartment. It is a o-ring sealed screw. Keep the o-ring clean and use some silicon grease if you close it after changing battery. You can use the cell that is named by OzGriffo, but it must be a protected cell as described. If it has 2100 or 2200 mAh doesn't matter, it...

Mares Icon HD Net Ready Reviews and Dive Experiences

Hi Zoranb, MARES marketing uses the bidirectional communication of Icon NetReady and Transmitter as one of the major arguments to have the "best" communication solution in integrated computers. The result was the high power consumption of battery power causing the battery drain. So I guess the...

Mares Icon HD Net Ready Reviews and Dive Experiences

@Para Goon @zoranb for the second type (with printed serial) you must have pressure in tank to pair. Paring shouldn't be lost while battery in transmitter is OK, also if transmitter is without pressure. May be if you replace the battery you must pair again. I asked the MARES employee. His...

Mares Icon HD Net Ready Reviews and Dive Experiences

Hi @all Icon NetReady users, I am still in contact with a Mares employee, whom I met at the BOOT in January, says that at least an update of the firmware for the transmitters in the near future will be available. Unfortunately, the transmitter then must be sent to MARES to perform the update...

MAres ICON HD Question--- I looked for the answer already! hope someone can help

You are right. I also think the planner isn't used very often. I get the MOD by setting the EANx value in Dive Setting menu. Never took a lock into planner because it shows only the dive time when you make the dive to the respective depth - and I guess you always will do a multi-level dive...

MAres ICON HD Question--- I looked for the answer already! hope someone can help

Hey Matthew, you are right "it shows only to 79' " strange  should be 97 feet with your settings. I never get such a "strong ;)" nitrox mix. But I used several times 32 - 34 % and the dive planner shows the correct metric depth of MOD. So for test set your computer to metric units...
