I talked to Aqualung yesterday, they told me to take it to a certified tech first. I sent the pics to my reg guy (certified Aqualung/Apeks tech) and his first impression was a casting flaw. Scary part is that he said that he has seen this before. Lets see how this all turns out.
I promise this is not a medical question. I was switching out some LP hoses on my XTX100 first stage and I noticed what appears to be a small piece of brass partially blocking the orifice. Should I be concerned about this or is this something that occurs in the manufacturing process?
I have put about 200 dives on my Hollis regs and I have to say I am disappointed. I have experienced the problems discussed here as well as other issues. The regs worked fine for the first 50 or so dives and then little problems started to arise. What bothered me the most was the work of...
Up for sale is my Mares Isotherm Semi Dry Suit. All wrist, ankle, neck seals and zippers are in great shape. The only reason I am selling is because I lost weight and the suit didnt so it no longer fits. It has been lightly used and well maintained, $50.
I sent my last Q in for some warranty service and Diverite sent back a new Q. This computer is currently in 2 gas Nitrox mode, software: v2.0.5. Never been wet, there are three test dives in the logbook. I also have the USB and charging cable (used) from my original purchase. I will also...
I posted a review here:
My Review of the NiTek Q
I was very happy with this computer until recently. I pulled the plug out to charge it and found that the computer had flooded. I sent it back to DR, we'll see what happens.
I really enjoy my Nitek Q. Its great for rec diving out of the box but you can upgrade it if you move into tec. I like the fact that I don't have to pay extra for features that I don't need or use. I wrote a review here...
Is that the same as the beta version from the link I provided or is this a completely new version of workbench? I received an email from Dive Rite as well but I figured It was the same version?
I didnt have a problem with the workbench software. I am also running Windows 7. Dive Rite sent me a link to a new beta version of the workbench. It took me a couple of times to successfully install it. It has an upgrade to the firmware for the Q. I am now running version 2.0.5 and I'm not...
I exchanged some emails with the good people at Dive Rite today. I was correct, the logbook upgrade allows you to upload the information which is displayed on the Q log book. The only additional information is the dive name which is added manually. Apparently you can also view your profiles...
It my be worth getting some software and downloading your dives just too see.
You might be right. But I downloaded the free version of the workbench software which includes the log book template. Workbench is the Dive Rite interface program. It allows you to program the Q via computer...
I thought I would give some of my observations about this computer. I bought the NiTek Q because I would like to eventually move into Tech diving and I wanted a computer that could be upgraded as needed. While testing this computer, I ran it alongside my Mares Puck Air console computer for...
