    Zoom/focus gear for 45mm macro

Hi Guys, I'm using an EPL-3 in its Olympus EPL05 housing, with the 45mm Panasonic macro lens and the Zen 45 flat port. I wish to use the 45mm macro lens in manual focus for some extreme macro work with plus 10 diopters. Can anyone tell me if they own/use or know of either a zoom ring or focus...

    YS-D1 on Olympus PEN PL-5

The UFL-2 is a very big strobe, size wise, for only two batteries, but does an amazing job. I have a friend who uses two and he has never run out of battery power on a single dive and mostly does double dives from his boat. . . Bruce

Some more Info on the Sea&Sea YSD1

I saw a post the other day over on wetpixel that Guy Harrison, I think, had to return his two new YS-D1 strobes to Backscatter for replacement. From memory, these two strobes were only one trip old? Don't know if this helps or confounds your issue? Bruce

    EPL-5 housing

Hi Guys, I'm wondering as to whether anyone has actually seen or used one of Olympus' new housings for the new EPL-5 Pen camera? They are listed as being the PT-EP10. . . Also would be interested in knowing if Nauticam or anyone else has plans to produce one? Nauticam produced their version for...

Upgrading to the epl5 with the pt ep10 houisng

Don is talking about the EPL-5 and is housing being the bargain of the century, i believe that you purchased the EM-5 and housing? The EPL-5 housing when released won't need any adapters for the older Zen ports to fit. . . Bruce

ULCS vs INON for tray and handles

Just as a matter of interest, what's wrong with the new Ike handles? In the past, I have removed the Ike handles from the tray and replaced them with ULCS handles. Ike handles with a ball mount seem OK to me, my buddy uses them on his DSLR system and he likes them. . .a lot! BTW, I use a...

    Olympus Macro Options

Mooseman, My measurements are pretty accurate and the EPL-2 camera from the face of camera to the glass in the port is very close to 89mm and the length of the 60mm macro is 82mm, so I'm pretty sure that you have 6-7mm clearance to the glasss inside the port. . . Early next week, my friend is...

Convert DNG into Jpegs in Lightroom 3:4

Thanks John, I will have a good read of it tomorrow. I actually keep a 'gallaery' of all my finished images seperately from Lightroom as a Jpeg source and a back-up if ever needed. It's only when I shoot underwater that I actually shoot and import with RAW images, all my other stuff I just shoot...

Convert DNG into Jpegs in Lightroom 3:4

Hi Guys, As the heading says I would like to learn how to convert DNG's into Jpegs while in the 'Develop' stage of Lightroom 3:4? I import my raw files into Lightroom as DNG's and then after a small amount of development work I want to save them into a seperate 'gallery' as Jpegs and for some...

terrible reflection into 4" NAUTICAM dome with 9-18mm and OM-D

Either that, or use a simple step-up or step-down ring that any decent camera shop should carry or any amount of them on ebay. It's not a time for panic people, just think outside the box?

    More 60 macro photos

Hi Phil, 2500 images, you must be getting a sore trigger finger by now, just remember to keep breathing. . . Any nuances/gripes with the new lens? How's the auto focus? BTW, what setting are you leaving the lens on or are you moving it around for different (macro/super macro) dives? Bruce

    Port debate: NA-EPL3, 9-18, 12-50, 60, and flexability

Thanks Nudi, Good information to have. . . I wonder how well the 12-50 zoom would work behind a semi-dome port like the 10Bar housing uses? That way you could get the full benfit of 12mm and only lose a little bit of power at the macro end due to the curved glass, and there's people out there...

    Port debate: NA-EPL3, 9-18, 12-50, 60, and flexability

I really feel that people should qualify their answers before other guys end up spending hard earned money after taking the advice from 'so-called' experts who haven't even used their equipment under water. I've said this before but geez, you have to be careful with some of the information...

    Port debate: NA-EPL3, 9-18, 12-50, 60, and flexability

Yeah, yeah, I already know all that and have used an old 105mm Nikkor behind a dome for years, but i simply asked if you had any pictures taken by you, using the Olympus M4/3 60mm macro lens behind the 4inch dome port? Put up the pics, simple. . .

    Port debate: NA-EPL3, 9-18, 12-50, 60, and flexability

How many times have you been able to get this system working successfully underwater and any pics please? I haven't seen any images from the 60mm macro from behind a 4inch dome port yet and would be very interested in the results. . . Bruce

    Best zoom available

Hi Guys, Thanks for your comments. I should have put down the intended use of the preferred zoom but the original post was getting a bit long winded so I left it off. I'm looking at using the lens for, locally, weedy sea dragons and very soon a trip across the border to Rapid Bay for the Leafy...
