The UFL-2 is a very big strobe, size wise, for only two batteries, but does an amazing job. I have a friend who uses two and he has never run out of battery power on a single dive and mostly does double dives from his boat. . . Bruce

I saw a post the other day over on wetpixel that Guy Harrison, I think, had to return his two new YS-D1 strobes to Backscatter for replacement. From memory, these two strobes were only one trip old? Don't know if this helps or confounds your issue? Bruce

Thanks Nudi, Good information to have. . . I wonder how well the 12-50 zoom would work behind a semi-dome port like the 10Bar housing uses? That way you could get the full benfit of 12mm and only lose a little bit of power at the macro end due to the curved glass, and there's people out there...
