    Source for dive site coordinates?

I did not make the map, it is a 3rd party plugin. When I find errors or someone tells me about them, I do fix them. Those have been fixed. Thanks for letting me know. This is done as hobby in my spare time at my own expense. The site now has 1,600 dive sites as well as the ability to just...

    Source for dive site coordinates?

If anyone is looking for GPS coordinates for dive sites, we are building a database of them from all available sources. Go to: www.worldwidescuba.org and click on the dive map to start searching. We only have about 500 in there now, but are adding more as fast as we can.

Myself and some other diving enthusiasts are in process of launching a new website dedicated to scuba diving, and more specific scuba travel. We have got the structure of the site up with most of the functionality in place. What we are needing is content for some of our sections and a review...

    Thailand Bound

With that being said, I am kind of stuck on the time of year I can go due to work. Should I consider land based dive trips instead to other locations in the area?

    Thailand Bound

I have a lot of frequent flier miles I have not used and decided to treat myself to a dive trip in late April or early May to Thailand. I have narrowed my search to the Similan Islands area. I have been researching dive tours in the area (everything from day trips to live aboards) and haven't...

In regards to the Nitrox, I was speaking of bottom time and no deco requirement. Should have made that more clear.

Looking to go to PSD course

I am looking to go to the Public Safety Diver and Underwater Criminal Investigator courses offered by UCI this July in Ft. Lauderdale. Can someone tell me if there is anything in particular I need to bring, equipment wise, that they do not list on the site? Do I need to take any other...

    The Blue Hole in Belize

I am thinking about going on a dive trip this summer to the Blue Hole in Belize. Has anyone been there and is it worth the money for airfare, hotel and dive boat tour? Hoping for a little more information than a "yes it is". What kind of marine life (sharks, fish, etc.) do you see and how...

Article: Dive dry with dr. Bill #529: The new king of the reef

There are far more lion fish than the eels could eat. We go diving with a group and kill 30 to 40 in an area no more than the size of a couple of football fields. We generally only see the same five or six eels along the entire area surrounding the base. You are talking ratio's of 1000's to 1.

Article: Dive dry with dr. Bill #529: The new king of the reef

I am currently stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and dive here every week. The lion fish has indeed made a big appearance here. So much that the local dive clubs have a Lion Fish Round-Up every month to keep them under control. As far as the lion fish not having a natural predator in these...
