Looking to meet up with anybody that might be diving in the area. I'm in Freeport currently. I may just go down to Nubbles and find someone to tag along with like last year.
So I found out my local shop, Nautilus Aquatics, has started doing trips there and they'll be there this coming weekend. $30 for entry and two tanks.
I'm considering going to check it out. I haven't established any local dive buddies yet. Anyone interested in going?
Visibility in the main stem of the Potomac is usually arm's length or less. It's certainly not a place I'd ever consider diving. Fishing for snakeheads sure.
It's honeycomb composite construction, not used in aircraft fuselages.
Part of a rocket more likely. Maybe from one of the failed SpaceX landings or part of a payload fairing.
I've got a Tovatec 530 and had a DGX600 as a secondary. Ended up replacing the DGX with something a bit bigger and only $5 more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DVKQVV2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looking forward to Dutch Springs next weekend to knock out some more training dives and try out my new gear. I had a really good time doing the July and August weekends last year for OW and AOW that had me fully prepared for my trip to Roatan in Sept.
I was too tired to any more diving. I think everybody was because nobody ever mentioned doing it.
Chloe's Coral and Kaylee's Daydream begin about 200 yards out from the beach.
All but the last three dive were done between West End Wall and El Aguila. Calm as could be. We were told it rough on the other side, but finally went around the point when it calmed down on Thursday and Friday.
Weather history shows at the airport winds were from the east at 15-20mph much of...
I haven't read any substantial reports about the resort, but in reading through old threads I do see a trend about how great a DM Mark Washington is. It's true.
I went there last September.
My girlfriend and I just started diving last year. After her getting certified in January I started...
All you have to do is dive the Playpen to find it.
Dove there on Tuesday. Didn't have my hand through the lanyard when I let go of it during my safety stop while I was securing my camera. Knew it right away and watched it go to the bottom.
From now on I'm clipping anything before...
I think this could be a Cessna 414 registration N1234
N1234, C414, IFR, enroute from Orlando, FL to White Plains, NY declared minimum fuel and then made a forced landing in the water 9.86 miles southwest of Bridgeport, CT at 1428 EDT on 5/26/03. One person on board rescued by the USCG. Pilot...
Makes sense, I figured it must be a depth thing.
I heading to Daytona to race next weekend, then heading south for some diving. Just one shark dive would make me content.
I went through Roatan about a week ago. I didn't think it was that bad. Having the pre-check paperwork did get several of us moved into a separate line. That saved at least half an hour of standing in line. Those on the flights that arrived shortly after would've saved a lot more time...
