Hi, could someone please tell me the best way to get to Khao Lak from HKT? Do the taxis at HKT go there? I'm assuming the price would be approximately 800 baht (each way) which is what I paid last February to get to Kata (about the same drive time I believe). Thank you.

I was wondering what the best way to go would be. I think hiring a car costs around 3000 baht. Is it feasible to just get a car to the ferry on the other side of Phuket and from there just take the ferry? Would this be a cheaper option? Thanks.

For me "getting ready" to go to Thailand means it's 6-7 months out. I stay for about a month and like to get all my reservations early so as not to get shut out. I will be there next February. Any liveaboard options for the southern dive sites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
