I did a lot of boat diving before my injury, especially wreck diving. When swimming with fins in the pool, I noticed I've lost a lot of finning strength. I'm concerned that if I boat dive again I might face a sudden surge of current at depth and wind up in trouble.
Any commets?
I had a back injury last August that resulted in a "drop foot" in my right leg which means I'm not able to walk on my right heel or lift my right foot up at the heel. I had back surgery in September to alleviate the pressure on the nerve causing the problem. The nerve was badly bruised and may...

I'm looking for a buddy to dive with this weekend. Haven't dove since last December except for a short checkout dive at Alexander Springs last weekend.
I'm looking to dive this weekend either Saturday, Sunday or Monday, but don't have a buddy lined up. I've never been to Blue Spring before and would like to try it. If you'd like to buddy up, my cell is 610-304-7941.
Hi Australia!
I'm staying in Adelaide at the moment and plan to finish the business part of my trip on Tuesday, Aug 26. I'd like to spend a day in Sydney and then fly up to Carins for some liveaboard diving on Thursday.
I'm interested in hooking up with Deep Sea Divers Den (Deep Sea Scuba...
Hey Australia!
I've been tapped for a business trip to Sydney for at least a week in August and would like to know if anyone can recommend a dive excursion or two during my free time.
Thanks,
Bill
You are not alone, I-want-gills. I, too, have penetrated a cave without being trained for it and with a certified cave diver. It was a couple of years ago at Ginnie Springs, Florida. We went in about 30 ft for a couple of minutes and then turned around and went out. Nothing unexpected happen...
CNN also reported that one of the missing was the DM, Kathleen Mitchison, an employee of Reefseekers diving center, which organized the expedition.
My prayers go out for their safe recovery.
Terry,
91' was my max depth which I was at for less than a minute. Most of my bottom time was between 77' and 83'. At 80' for 25 min the SSI Air Tables show that I would be at group F when I surfaced. My surface interval would have brought me down to group E with a residual nitrogen time...
There has been quite a good bit of information conveyed in this forum. I do have a dive computer, but I don't have the software to download my dive profiles onto my PC. That's going to be my next dive equipment purchase.
The next thing is to sign up for nitrox classes. I've had a lot of...
Is the test you're referring to called a Transesophageal echocardiography? From the info I got from the above web site, this test involves swallowing a flexible tube with a recording device that captures ultrasound images. This is the best test for detecting a patent foramen ovale.

I had a cardiac catheterization done in 2005 to check the arteries going to the heart since heart disease runs in my family. It also showed blood flow within the atrium. The report never mentioned anything about a PFO.
I think the stress of the long drive to Jupiter and pushing the limits...
