$1000 and four days....where would you go?

Key Largo or else Cozumel.

Agree with the other comments on Ft L as well.

At least that would be for warm water.

Personally, I would go to North Carolina. But that is probably not what you had in mind.

The Keys will eat your $1000 like cotton candy. Drive to the Keys from the mainland.
The one exception would be to camp at Bahia Honda.

It takes an aboriginal soul to enjoy that. Many people do.

Book a Flower Garden Banks weekend trip . Get a Friday flight into Houston, fly back to DC on Monday. Pick a summertime trip, better odds against weather cancellations.
