I hope not for those who would be subjected to seeing my hairy ass!

I reckon in the water here I would last less than 5 minutes before bolting out with hypothermia anyway

yeah i think it's mainly a good looking girl thing. i didn't do it, didn't even know about it. also you obviously need to be in the tropics.

source: i know some good looking girls who have partaken.

Yeah the girls who did it...I was thinking they would be cool dive buddies! But then again....I am in the category of Neilwood.

Just remember, things that live in the water have teeth. Some have very large, sharp teeth.
I give you the "Bobbit worm":

Given the water temps, that critter probably wouldn't be much of a risk around here, though. I'd be more concerned about being able to stay in the water long enough to have my dive registered on my computer. And of course the embarrassment when I got out of the water...

Yes the water temperature has a certain effect on the male of the species!

A few years back there was a photo in one of the dive magazines of Dottie Benjamin, a DM at Little Cayman Beach Resort, diving naked to celebrate some one else's 100th dive. I'd rather face the Bobbit Worm.

A number of fish have small appendages that they wiggle that attract hungry fish. Nature would not have developed that if it did not work.

Given the number of minor stings I have felt on my face from stuff in the water, I want as little bare skin as possible. Even in tropics I wear a skin.

Yep Bobbit Worm is not to be messed with.
