Looks great, especially for only having a small lathe and not a full machine shop to make it with. Is it only the o-ring from Note A and water pressure keeping the glass in place? That frightens me a little, but I guess it must work.

Thank you. The O-ring makes the seal from the glass to the Delrin lighthead. The glass is retained by the spiral retaining ring. The spiral rings are a nice way to keep the glass from coming out, without requiring another separate piece to be turned on the lathe. The spiral rings give a very nice finished look, though getting them back out on the first try without it snapping back into place takes a little bit of trying.
