#4401 adapter/sea&sea cable

I just purchased a #4401 adapter to be used with a sea&sea 50107 cable but the cable will not fit in the adapter input. Is there a trick to this? Both your website and Reef Photo state that it should work.

It wont fit in either part or just on the camer?

fits the nauticam housing fine, won't fit in ikelite adapter

The adapter is a friction fit item. The tolerances are tight, so place a small amount of compatible lubricant on the cord end to be inserted and use moderate pressure to seat the cord end in the adapter.
