This shark should be arrested and punished for touching the coral by the Scuba Police!
:jail:

Very cool vid.
I have not seen that intense an attack into the coral by one of these catfish before.
Thanks for posting the link.

Last year I ran across a nurse shark that was slightly more determined than yours. Seems he/she forget how to unsrew out of a coral head.

When we came upon the shark it was not moving at all with about one third up in the coral. We observed the shark for about a minute and absolutely no movement. No gill action nothing. Tapped the shark. Nothing. Touched the shark nothing.

Decided to unscrew the shark. The shark had no reaction. Rocked the tail side to side several times and slowly the gills started moving. A couple of minutes later the shark swam off slowly.

Got some excellent up close pictures.

have been excellent all week. Thank You for posting them.

Glad you like them - we enjoy taking them but the real props should go to the dive guides at ScubaMau. They're the ones that put us in great positions so that we don't end up shooting "the a$$ end of another interesting fish" - like our normal videos/pictures

Great stuff! (loved the music too)

Interesting vid! Did anyone determine what it was after?

Nurse sharks eat lobster, crab, squid, urchins, snails, slow-moving fish, and so forth. Note that the grouper doesn't fear it and is hanging out -- waiting for the shark to flush a fishy snack.
