68, diving since 1984. Dove all over the world thanks to my military career and the my engineering job that allowed me to travel. Dive mainly live aboards since 2010. Lots more diving.

I was diving last summer with a gentleman who was 85

A regular buddy of mine for the last 10 years, is now over 82 (started diving around 17 as a navy service manà. Still dived trimix around 80, now just nitrox. Probably one of the nices, more knowledgeable and proficient diver I've ever met. Hope to follow the same path.

Looking at demographics here in Cozumel on boats, I would say its atleast 70% divers over 50
It would be interesting to compare those Cozumel demographics with those of divers doing SoCal shore dives, say.

While watching folks get suited up for a shore dive at the Casino on Catalina, out of around a dozen, I would guess at least 1/3 if not a full 1/2 were 50+

My wives don't dive, all three of them. Thank God for that ❤️
Thank God my wives (#1 divorced 44 years ago) haven’t wanted to play golf, but #2 surprisingly wanted to get scuba certified 18 years ago when she was 50. We have been traveling and diving ever since. 300+ dives later….off to Cozumel on Friday for 10 days.

Hi - Just signed on to ScubaBoard. I’ll be 65 this year. Certified in 1972 and have been diving recreationally ever since. 500+ which I don’t log. Don’t dive as much as I’d like but I have several hobbies. My 95 year old dad asked me last year… “Arent you getting old for diving?” Like dad .. cut it out.

67 years old. Retired in Moalboal Cebu, Philippines.

Dove more than 170 times in 2022, on track to do same this year.

Also took up tech diving recently. Have TDI ExRange and SDI DM completed in last year. Did tech dive just this AM as I am learning to sidemount having only used twinset so far.

Certified in Jan 1996, only had 100 dives up to Oct 2019, this morning was number 670.

My goal is to be the first 100 year old guy to dive to 100 m.

My goal is to be the first 100 year old guy to dive to 100 m.
Think we'd all share that goal!

Alas there's so many things which will stop us achieving that.
