Simple question - if my 'console' consists of a single spg only and I want to add a depth gauge, are there generic boots available somewhere that I can put on over the spg that would have a spot for the depth gauge? I have an old depth gauge that I've cleaned up and would like to use but I've not found an empty boot that appears to let me do what I envision.

If it's the standard size that would fit in a console, there's probably a DSS mount that would fit it too.
