Air2 and Nitrox

A dive buddy of mine asked me if Air2's are nitrox compatible. Since I did not know and the question has been haunting me I started looking around. After searching the internet (and this board) I have not been able to find an answer. So my question is are Air2's safe to use with nitrox (>40% O2)?

I would say you will have no problems with mixes upto 40%.I used to dive a knighthawk with an air2 and my LDS never said anything about it.A matter of fact i have seen him dive his air2 with nitrox many times.

Your post indicated above 40% (>) and I assume you meant 40 and below (<).

As lal has said, there should be no reason you can't use the Air2 for nitrox at 40% and less.

My instructor uses EAN40 and his Air2. I don't like the Air2, but that's a whole different debate.

most all scubapro regs are fine up to 40%... I don't think its a debate. The air2 is a good reg, you just like the application or you dont... no debate there

There are no problems with using an Air2 with 40% or less, I have been doing it for four years
