I have some miles to burn with Continental. Their website shows $1200 round trip from Chicago (talking October - December 2010) to Bangkok but when I add Phucket onto it they hit me for $2400. Is it really $1200 to fly from Bangkok to Phucket?

A return ticket BKK-HKT with Bangkok Airways is USD 140-220.

I'd expect very good service for $1200 .....

You can use Bangkok Airways or Air Asia for your BKK-HKT flight, it should be somewhat cheaper than Thai, but you may get dinged a bit for Luggage overweight if you are dragging your scuba gear with you as well.

I'm heading to Thailand on April 3 for a month, Toronto YYZ to Bangkok BKK.

Cheers...

Thats Funny !
You can also try airasia.com , for the Bangkok-Phuket flight
Its a good airline, a Thai version of JetBlue (but no tv).
