Last weekend I saw an enormous whale vertebra which the folks from the dive shop had found on the beach. Gigantic! It made me reflect on the enormous size differences between the largest and smallest animals in the ocean. A tiny goby and a huge manta ray are both vertebrates. How can the same body-plan work on such different scales? Read my blog post on the topic here. Enjoy!
