Thanks to the ARSBC for this Annapolis sinking update...and good luck!

Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we have communicated in previous updates, the ARSBC team has been actively communicating with the Department of National Defense (DND) and other federal agencies to find a solution to our problem of obtaining federal support in order for us to complete the ship as an artificial reef for Halkett Bay in Howe Sound. We promised to provide you with relevant updates on our activities which we can share.
DND plans to conduct a second and more in-depth and detailed review of the physical condition of the ship. This review will focus on taking measurements of the hull plate thickness, assessing any points of weakness, as well as the use of commercial dive teams to inspect the condition of the hull. The Navy will be conducting the operation with ARSBC in attendance.
We understand that this is to take place on Dec 18-21. We are pleased that this action is being taken which we anticipate will provide additional relevant data so that some decision can be made in order for the project to continue to become an artificial reef.
Thank you,
Howard Robins
