I had previously posted finding a straight sided brown Coke bottle, and have just found another. This one was slightly different from the first. I don't have a digital camera yet (it's on the way), but have found links to photos that are identical to what I have found. The first bottle had the Coke inscription on the bottom

These were supposedly manufactured from 1902-1915.

The one I found today had the inscription at the top near the shoulder and are slightly newer, having been manufactured from 1910-1915. The one in this photo is blue-green, but mine is brown like the bottom script bottle.

Both were embossed with Chattanooga Tenn. as the filling site. This isn't suprising since I found them in the Tennessee river right in front of an old Coke bottling plant (the very first Coke bottling plant).

As soon as I get my camera, I'll repost with the actual photos.

Nice find, I would love to find something like that, especially since I am a Coke drinker :coke:

Very interesting. I have a friend over in Florence, Alabama that has an AMAZING collection of CocaCola bottles, all taken from the area of the Tennessee River. He must have over 100 bottles, all different in some slight way. Many are for other brands of beverages (maybe contract bottled by the plant) and several colors and shapes. Neat find.

The brown Cokes have been known to get anywhere between 25 and 250 dollars depending on a million different factors. Bottle prices are a black art best I can tell.
