Noarlunga, although a fairly easy dive on a good day can be a nasty spot when the tide is running, the viz is bad, the slop over the reef comes through, the diver isn't fit and isn't prepared for unexpectedly cold water. Not saying that any of these things necessarily occurred in this case but just pointing out that just because it is the "go to" site for training in Adelaide doesn't make it an easy safe dive in all conditions.
