One of my dive partners wanted to add an Atomic
Z1 as his secondary regulator. He has an Apeks TX100
as his primary and I think an ATX20 octo.
I didn't think he could do that due to the pressure
differences. Am I wrong?

With a few exceptions, most regulator first stage and second stages can be used together, as the IP's are very similar and certainly have overlapping range.

The Atomic regulators have the IP spec at 125~145psi. Perhaps someone can post the IP specs for the Apeks.

the pressure differences were to great since one is a piston
and one is a diaphragm....guess not.....good to know...thanks

by "secondary regulator"? A second regulator on your manifold or using the Z1 as a second stage?
