In the near future, may consider looking into a month, or more. Any options in this type of accomodations?

Lots of longer term rentals on VRBO, 1 to 6 months, significant discounts vs weekly rates.
This is why I have held off on buying.

Think those are the best options

It does depend on the time of year and the rental location. On the water and between Nov through March is high season and most rentals have increased their daily rate so they are not looking for long-term stays.
