Ok everyone, I'm going to get another regulator soon and my LDS just started carring Atomic. I am also considering SP Mk25/S600. The LDS I shop at doesnt carry SP but another local one does. So, I am leaning a little towards Atomic's B1.

Now, before everyone suggests Posiden or Apexs, there isnt a local dealer for either one of these.

For everyone who is suggesting Abyss, that is what I have now. Looking to upgrade to a reg with a lighter/smaller second stage.

B1 second stage has a titanium valve/slide in it. No problems with Nitrox (>40%)??

What do you think about mixing brands between primary and octo? Going to go long hose on this setup and I am considering going with Mares Proton octo due to its smaller size. Comments?

This next question may solve the whole problem about what to choose; like most divers, I support my LDS, however, when LesiurePro can sell me a B1 for about $200 cheaper than my LDS, I start swaying a little. Any comments/opinions on LesirePro and online sales in general?

what to do  too many choices:rolleyes:

I also find the smaller/lighter second stage of Atomics to be
very comfortable (I had Bell's Palsy many years ago).

You should not have a problem mixing and matching provided
that IPs in 1st are adjustable/agreeable to second.

I would NOT recommend putting the "ti" second on a deco
bottle; Atomic specifically warns against >40% o2.
I'd use the Atomic during the "working" portion of the dive(s)
and then switch to the Abyss for deco.

How much is the $200.00 savings "worth" to you? I might
have saved big $$$ buying my Atomics "on-line" but I know
when I bring my regs into my LDS he will examine them *now*
and I'll be using them soon. If they are in need of a major
over-haul and I *need them soon* I am confident I will be
provided a loaner regulator.
