This is a great trip...been in the planning for some time now. It is aboard the liveaboard 'Voyager'. The trip starts in Bali and ends in Bima (you will need to fly from Bima back to Bali) and again offers unlimited daily diving. The schedule allows you to spend time diving at the sites of the Komodo National Park and exploring the diversity of wildlife in this region.

Returning to Bali our guests have the advantage of tailor making a holiday package that suits them. Bali’s international airport allows guests flexibility in their travel and our 7 night cruise itineraries are designed to meet the requirements of a broad range of customers.

Kararu Dive Voyages’ vessel, The Voyager, is a 150 ft long and
30 feet wide, twin engine steel motor vessel. The Voyager was originally constructed in Norway. Kararu Dive Voyages bought the vessel in mid 2005. After a 2.5 month journey from Norway to Indonesia the boat will be adapted to a luxury dive vessel and commissioned in February 2006 to operate mostly in Irian Jaya (West Papua) the Banda Sea and Komodo National Park.

The Voyager has 11 upper deck guest cabins. 2 single, two double beds and 5 twins. Each cabin has individual air-conditioning plus an en-suite bathroom with ample hot & cold water. All cabins have optimal sea views and ample light. Two of the cabins are staterooms (also outfitted for disabled divers) with LCD flat screen, computer, DVD player, private balconies, queen size beds, private bath and spectacular views of the changing scenery. All the cabins are cleaned twice a day with a turn down service at night.

The live-a-board has four decks. A fully air-conditioned dining and saloon area with seating for twenty, a treasures and artifacts gift shop, service area, private library and a lounge area with an ample selection of fish and wildlife books, novels, guidebooks, current films and documentaries.

There are individual camera stations located on the port side as well as charging facilities for 110/220 V located inside the computer editing room.

The bridge deck has a spacious observation deck, a wet bar with sofas, lounge chairs and swinging hammocks.

The very popular sundeck topside has a bar and lounge chairs for sun tanning by day or for watching the stars at night.

The Voyager sails with 20 experienced Indonesian crew members on board at all times. There is a minimum of 2 dive leaders on each cruise and two local dive guides. With a maximum of 18 guests, Kararu Dive Voyages on board service is unparalleled. Languages spoken on board include German, French, Spanish, Italian and English.

One of the most important parts of a successful live-a-board trip is the meals. Kararu Dive Voyages serves 5 meals per day to ensure our scuba divers do not go hungry between dives. Our food is carefully selected combining fresh organic fruits and vegetables, local and imported meats and a lot of fresh seafood.

Dining on the Kararu live aboard is a gourmet experience! Your taste buds will travel the world with a different theme every evening. You can expect a range of Greek, Indian, French, Thai, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Indonesian & Chinese meals. Outdoor seafood & meat barbeques on the bridge deck are a highlight of the voyage as are the tantalizing desserts after each evening meal.

The morning begins with a pre-dive breakfast consisting of freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, toast, cereal, coffee and tea. After the first dive on the live-a-board comes a second ala carte breakfast. Lunch is served after the second dive and is a mix of local and western cuisines. Afternoon tea and snacks are served on the top deck prior to the fourth dive. Vegetarian menus are also available. Please let us know prior to your arrival if you have special needs.

Kararu live-a-board has an on board Island Treasures and Artifacts Shop that is more like a museum. Working in unison with the indigenous craftsmen, Kararu Dive Voyages is supporting local villages and tourism awareness by offering these Island Treasures for sale in our unique shop. Locally designed and produced, top quality t-shirts, shorts, bathing suits and sarongs are also available. Kararu Dive Voyages strives to work in combination with the local craftsmen to ensure this rich and famous culture will continue long into the future.

Rental scuba diving equipment is available and on board in case necessary.
