Cap'n Phil did not want make everyone sick on Sunday on the Cypress Sea so we did not get around the point to Carmel. We did 3 dives in Monterey Bay and they turned out pretty well. The first dive, off the Aquarium, was a sort of grave yard for sunfish. There were many of them down at about 80ft and some were being eaten by sea stars and sunflower stars. Off shore from Lovers Pt we came across a remarkable number of bat rays. At first there were a few of them, singly and in pairs. But at the end of the dive, we watched as a squadron of about 20 passed in front of us. Pretty nice sight but too far away for a picture.

Nice photos! I would have loved to have seen photos of the Bay Rays!

Saturday I was on the Cypress Sea with Cap'n Phil and we went South of Lobos Rocks, almost to Big Sur and had some awesome dives.

Yes, we heard that Saturday was the day to go. Just shows what a difference a day makes!
