Also, many of us on this board know each other. It's much easier to figure out who you can trust and what not. People also like to chime in on what the cost SHOULD be if someone is offering something too high so it sorta self regulates prices as well. The thing is, really really good deals go FAST so it generally helps if you know what you are looking for, wait for it, and then pounce on it.

Clammy,

Thanks for the info on the used stuff through the board. I honestly did not even think of going that route.

Divers Direct has the Mares Journey Plus which is exclusive to them and very similar to the Pegasus except it has a cumberbund (which is adjustable so you can take it in or let out if you lose or gain weight) It is very streamline and back inflate with an optional crotch strap. It has the nice Mares MRS Plus weight system and can hold up to 26 lbs ditchable and 10 lbs non ditchable. Divers Direct puts them on sale quite often and we ours for $249 each.

...or do what a lot of people probably do, but won't admit they do...that is, check out your local dive shops...find BC's that interest you, try them on for fit/sizing...then monitor E-Bay for close-outs/discounted/ gently used bargain priced units and get a great deal that way!

A 40 lb body weight change or more is easily handled by some simple adjustments of the harness on a BP/W. Scubatoys has a sale on Diverite Venture wings at $160. The other $140 will easily cover the plate, webbing, and hardware, I recommend you give them a call. And if you decide you really want weight integrated (I think it is a mistake), that can be added any time.
