Hello,

Recently I found that my Mares BCD's inflator valve's black plastic protective cap has gone missing. Does this part need to be replaced? If so, do you have a source for that?

The original cap was attached to the BCD inflator hose by a rubber ring which had been put on prior to securing the hose to the valve with a zip tie.

If you are referring to a cap that goes over the top of the inflator / low pressure connector (where lp hose connects to inflator mechanism), then the answer is no it is not required to have. I just suggest you rinse the valve along with all of your other equipment prior to storing when not diving.

Hope this helps.
