BCJ-8000C X-WING Material and Durability

Hello,

For those that are familiar with the new TUSA X-Wing BC, can you tell me what material is used for the section around the waist (the silver-ish graphite colored material has the X-Wing printed and the AWLS rubber logo sewn).

I looked at this BC in person in store and I am wondering about the durability of that section. It feels plasticky and thin. I am worried that it may crack quickly, especially when exposed to cold sea environment.

That portion of the jacket is made with Nylon.
