Does anyone know if there is walk in diving the Vero Beach area? If there is, and anyone has dove there, would you please let me know what your experience was like? Thanks for your help.

There is beach diving done in Vero. I've not done it but I know a dozen people that have. They usually go out to the reef which is pretty close (i.e. less than 100 yards) and get lobsters and maybe some lost treasure. I know the viz can be as good as 20-30 feet and as bad a 2-3 feet.

One popular place to go out is the beach access next to the seven 11 and the nasa tracking station.

I'm sure there are some other Vero residents on here that can give you better details. If not, call the local dive shop Deep 6 on Miracle Mile. They can help. http://www.deepsixintl.com/shopcustcontact.asp
