There are two different Abbot Labs BinaxNOW test kits.

One is sold at places like Walgreens, with two tests in a box for about $25.
You test yourself, but the results are NOT acceptable for for the CDC reentry requirements, because you tested your self with no profestional/medical supervision, and the results are just a little blue line on a test card, like a pregnancy test.

The other is sold (as far as I can find out) ONLY by eMed.com and includes a proctored exam over a web link; someone actually watches you do it and talks you through it. That result is input to the Abbot Labs Navica app by the proctor, and the app can be shown to the airline when you check in and IS acceptable to the CDC. That version of the test is about $25 per test, but appears to be sold (for right now) only in packs of 6 tests, purchased directly from eMed.com.

If you are flying United, the BinaxNOW/Navica/eMed deal is part of their SOP.
