What is the official, "legal" position on taking lion fish while shore diving from the park at the BHB?

Got here at 10:20am for a 1234 high tide and parking is an issue already

Take as many lionfish as you want. But you cannot use a spear. Illegal to spear there.

I tried melting him with my video lights but that didn't work out.
For what it's worth had stellar vis Sat and did the same area again with no lionfish sightings, so maybe the lights worked after all.....

Sat report

Vis was 30 ft or better, temp 79 degrees and biggest challenge was finding parking.
Lots of cool sightings but technical difficulties made things challenging for good photos....

The jawfish was tiny but had a cool rosy color to mouth as well as lots of google eyed offspring....

Are any regulars going to dive the bridge tomorrow (Monday) for the 1:26 pm high tide? I'm planning on doing it. I'm recently (voluntarily) unemployed, so I'm going to try to get in as much weekday diving in at the bridge as I can this summer. I've been there 15 times or so over the years, but not much recently. I hope to run into a lot of you there!
