Is your flash turned on? Are you using an external strobe? Are these photos zoomed in or all the way wide?
In housing PT59, no flash, no strobe, wide shot.
 
These are from a TG-5 no housing just the internal flash. Get close try not to zoom unless going for supper macro.

I'm no Nat Geo shooter, but if you play to the strengths of the camera you will get some good shots👍
 
For wide angle definitely shooting up with sun to your back. Shallow is best for this especially if you don't have a big strobe to fill in. Up into sun, and up with sun at my 3 o'clock.

The simple photo software on Android or the Olympus Android software can also bury your sins
